No contradiction

I have been reading a report from the Bank of England about climate change (page 79 points 12 and 13) and they mention that in the short term there would be no real impact of the climate change in rates of mortality or morbidity in UK. I presume they are talking just from the insurance point of view.

Notwithstanding The 2015 Lancet Commission on Health and Climate Change is saying: “The effects of climate change are being felt today, and future projections represent an unacceptably high and potentially catastrophic risk to human health”.
It means, for me, they are looking at the situation form very different points of view meaning they would be evaluation different sets of affected people. The same is valid for the “alleged” contradiction I mentioned days ago…

a contradiction?

According to some studies people is living longer.... the probability of going more that 100 years old is growing bti at the same time it seems that climate change is increasing the rate of deaths... a contradiction?

News from East Asia

I have just received this informatio about this topic...a possible relationship between pollution and premature deaths.

Who?

According to WHO as at 2005 climate change had been responsible for 150,000 deaths per year for the last 30 years.

This would be around 4,500,000 deaths, app the population of New Zealand

Is there real evidence of an effect of climate change in mortality and morbidity? If so, where is it affecting?

I will do some research and try to find some answers.
